teapot #001
Red stoneware teapot covered in green, matte glaze on the exterior and a white glaze adorning the interior.
Due to their ceramic nature, clay teapots need a slow introduction to the hot water needed to steep tea. Although fired to completion, the clay particles can still expand and contract depending on temperature. Never pour hot water into a cold or room temperature clay teapot. The following directions describe how to correctly care for a ceramic teapot and enjoy it for years to come.
How to use:
Fill the teapot with water from a faucet, gradually increasing temperature from warm to hot.
Separately, fill a kettle with water and boil. Remove hot water from the teapot and replace with boiling kettle water, slowly. For added protection, pour boiling water over a spoon or tea diffuser to minimize impact by dispersing flow.
Steep and Enjoy :)
